While HSHS Medical Group represents a new idea, we have deep roots. As part of Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), we share a commitment to compassionate, holistic health care that treats the whole person, in the spirit and tradition of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis.

In 2008, as part of a bold new Care Integration initiative, HSHS reached out to physicians and leaders of various medical groups in Wisconsin and Illinois, and asked the question: How can we put all the pieces of today’s fragmented health care system back together, with patients once again at the center? Part of the answer was the creation of HSHS Medical Group, designed by physicians to meet the needs of physicians, and ultimately their patients.
