HSHS Medical Group Breaks Ground for New Medical Building in Chatham

HSHS Medical Group broke ground Wednesday for a new facility at 125 East Plummer Boulevard in Chatham, IL. Opening this winter, the new 17,000 square foot facility will be home to HSHS Medical Group Family Health, currently located at 345 North Main Street, and HSHS St. John’s TherapyCare, currently located at 1134 Commercial Court.

HSHS Medical Group broke ground Wednesday for a new facility at 125 East Plummer Boulevard in Chatham, IL. Opening this winter, the new 17,000 square foot facility will be home to HSHS Medical Group Family Health, currently located at 345 North Main Street, and HSHS St. John’s TherapyCare, currently located at 1134 Commercial Court.
 
Speakers included Dave Kimsey, village president of Chatham, Melinda Clark, CEO of HSHS Medical Group and Dr. Charles Lucore, president and CEO of HSHS St. John’s Hospital. A prayer was offered by Deacon Greg Maynerich of St. Joseph the Worker in Chatham.
 
“We are excited to have HSHS Medical Group expanding and investing in Chatham,” said Dave Kimsey, Chatham village president. “The community has trusted HSHS Medical Group Family Health to provide high quality health care for many years.”
 
“The new space allows us to add two more family medicine providers in the future, in addition to the four providers who will be moving from the existing location,” said Melinda Clark, CEO of HSHS Medical Group. “We look forward to caring for patients in this convenient, state of the art facility.”
 
“We are excited to now share a space in Chatham with our HSHS physician partners,” said Dr. Charles L. Lucore, president and CEO of HSHS St. John’s Hospital. “This new location will provide spacious new facilities where comprehensive, state of the art therapy services can be provided.”
 
HSHS Medical Group Family Health plans to expand hours for more accessibility early and late day. Same day appointments and Saturday morning hours will continue to be offered as part of the HSHS Medical Group promise of patient-first care. All staff, including providers James Crabtree, MD, John Rollet, MD, Kenneth Schmidt, MD, MRO, and Sarah Blank, PA-C, will relocate to the new facility.
 
HSHS St. John’s TherapyCare will offer physical therapy services, including integrative medical services. All staff, including two physical therapists, will transfer to the new facility and their hours will remain
8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
