As I stated before, the wait time is unacceptable; also he doesn't listen well. I think he hears what he wants to hear.

He always seems to be looking for the results from my last colonoscopy. I have brought the medical records in and signed several releases. Not sure what the issue seems to be.

There wasn't any discussion about proposed treatment. He basically told me what he was going to order and when I said no he seemed irritated.

I understood very little of what the doctor said. He was always facing the computer and either reading or updating the information. He never asked why I was there or instructed me on what I needed to be doing regarding the reason I was sent to him, It was a very infuriating 2 hours.

Dr. Islam didn't listen to me, he talked over me constantly. I got the impression that anything I did bring up he brushed it off as if it was trivial or that I'm worrying about unimportant things. To his credit, he is the only GI doc there because St. Mary's is working on hiring another, so maybe he was stressed, but to me these issues seem to be personality based. I had trouble understanding him a lot, but I'm not the best with foreign accents. He just didn't seem to put forth any effort for me. I thought he was a bit rude and curt. I personally will look for another provider (after an endoscopy I need to have) because when I don't feel comfortable or listened to at my age..I move on.
